rectifying optical plammet

I have a nikon dtm 332. when I level it and I rotate it Β in horizontal plane i find that there is a shift in position of a ground point.

I tried to adjust the optical plummet but I couldn't make it. I tried to check through in user manual but still no help, any one to help me in the group

  • Calibrating the Optical Plummet will take some patience and several attempts to fine turn the adjustment.

    1. Set instrument on Tripod close to level.
    2. Sight and mark position #1 of OP.
    3. Rotate Horizontally 180 Degrees
    4. Note OP position #2, and using the adjustment screws on the OP Eyepiece adjust the crosshairs one half of the difference from #1 and #2.
    5. Repeat this process until #1 and #2 are the same. Hope that helps.
