Thoughts
Hi Pete,
Thanks for the message.
I think that the instability of the internal geometry of a camera that is capaable of zooming is too limiting for surveying tasks.
I think that cameras with zoom are suitable for image capture for inspection etc, but not for high quality post-processing.Ā
Inspection or image capture of the progress of works are the only two applications that come to mind that a firm may use a zoom camera for.
Is that useful for you?
Kind regards,
James Wallace

Mister Wallace
would it be possible to show differences between cameras in both scope and functionality let me explain... One camera has zooming capabilities which can be applied in civil engineering or scopes of work that speaks to civil engineering and the other camera has non zooming capabilities which will be utilized for land surveying purposes that includes High detail and high Precision mapping as well as surface and contouring including 3D modeling is there a particular reason why a land surveying / civil engineering firm would be interested in a camera on a drone that has zooming capabilities could you see a market for that or is it just a specialty item that can be applied two other scopes of work what are your thoughts thank you mr. Wallace.

HI Wallace,
I saw on Land Surveyor United that you wanted to start a business in topography. I would be interested in having a discussion with you. because I not only want to launch a similar activity in the international but to use the topography for the mining and oil activity. If you are interested please contact me on Skype. My skype ID: noureddine.melal
