Surveyors Connect is a surveying support forum group for discussing the activity of using social media to promote land surveying in schools and developing programs for surveying education.
As you all know, there is a Toolbar on the top right hand side of the network that shows when you scroll down. what you may not know is that there is a Video Chat app inside that toolbar which allows you to instantly connect to other surveyors on the network when both you and they are logged in. This is a new tool which will help surveyors connect more easily on the network when you have your web camera plugged in.
The Surveyor Video Chat Room supports Web Cams and Audio powered by TinyChat. This App Supports Land Surveyors United Membership System, Members logged into this website automatically can join chat without having to log into chat again.
Linking to the Chat to Get Other Surveyors Connected
Linking to the chat by using this URL pattern will be the easiest way to get a fello surveyor to join you on chat.

So for example, lets say that you want to chat with a fellow LSU member on top of the Group Forums page. You would take the following URL: http://landsurveyorsunited.com/groups
Add /a/videochat to the end and get http://landsurveyorsunited.com/group#/a/videochat
Send that to a fellow member inside a message, a chat window or inside the Surveyor Skylounge and if they have their webcam plugged in, you will be able to chat with them in a window like this:
App linking allows you to open apps from a link on your page. They can be used alone by using the URL above as the HREF attribute of an A tag or you can add them to the end of an existing URL to open the app when a person goes to that page on your site.
