Cultural Diversity & Inclusiveness in Surveying Podcast with The Geoholics

On september 8th we (Land Surveyors United) will be participating in a Virtual Zoom Conference and podcast with The Geoholics on the topic "Cultural Diversity and Inclusion in Modern Land Surveying" which will focus on both the differences and similarities shared internationally in surveying across various cultures and ethnic backgrounds.   We have been asked to select 4 participants for this live podcast/video and have a nice round table discussion.   If you would like to be a participant and discuss Cultural Diversity in Land Surveying, please leave a comment below with the following:

  1. Where do you live and work as a land surveyor?
  2. How Long You have Been Involved in Land Surveying?
  3. Do you feel like the surveying profession in your area of the world is culturally diverse and inclusive?

This should be an exciting and eye opening episode of The Geoholics Podcast and we hope you will all get involved.    We are looking for surveyors in all areas of the world and may hold follow up episodes of this type, so leave your comments and if our panel fills up this time, we will consider you for future episodes.

  • Hello Land Surveyors United, this is Kennedy from Accra - Ghana. I graduated seven years ago, and I have been surveying ever since.
In Ghana, there are various ethnic groups, both major and minor. I think when it comes to the Land Surveying profession, there are no "cultural barriers", once you have the interest, and the right mentors you'll be fine. I have also had some experience with Land Surveyors from our neighboring countries( Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, and Benin) and it was a great experience.
