A typical monument for control points in this area: A iron pipe with a white plastic cap. (In pavement often bolts or nails are set as monuments for survey points or boundary corners.)This one is probably a reference point for the triangulation point I showed here before, as it is only a few meters away. The same monuments are sometimes used to mark boundary corners, then the inscription reads "Grenzspunkt" (boundary point). There are also older ones without inscription, only with an + and die letters x and y on top, symbolizing a coordinate system; they were used for both, boundary and survey points.
