Go Back in Time with Historic Philadelphia Imagery

For land surveyorsĀ who are interested in historical imagery of Philadelphia and surrounding areas, i stumbled across a very helpful map tool which may interest you. TheĀ Free Library of Philadelphia Map ViewerĀ uses the Google Maps API to allow users to view and explore historical maps of the city. The map viewer includes eight archive maps of Philadelphia dating back to 1843. You can overlay any of the maps on top of the Google Map interface by making a selection from the map sidebar. Three Students Receive Land Surveying Scholorships Pennsylvania College

Three Pennsylvania College of Technology students received scholarships for 2011-12 from the Pennsylvania Land Surveyorsā€™ Foundation. The foundation presented 10 scholarships totaling $17,000. Melissa D. Thorp, a Penn College surveying technology student from Curwensville, Pa., was ranked in first place among the recipients, garnering a $3,000 scholarship award.
