LISCAD Software Computations

Hi,

I am new to LISCAD and am trying to perform a cut and fill exercise. The computations guide tells me it is easy to edit a number a number of points at once. I want to select a large number of points on my surface and drop them by 300mm. My method so far to do this is:

With my point cloud up I go Task>Computations>Edit>View/Edit Points>Block>AllI then input a new elevation but it doesnt change any of the points? I can click on one point and change that but I want to do a range of points which is why I tried using block. Can anyone see where I am going wrong?

Any tips on how to do this would be much appreciated!!

Many thanks,

Will

  • Go to Edit then Elevation- Diff Elev encode the -.330. Block the points to be adjusted in elevation.

  • If you are trying the change the elevation on all points or an entire group of points the following is the best option.

Turn on the "Groups" that you want to changeΒ

All this happens in the Task Computations - but if you're using point cloud that may be different

    Select > Block All

    Select > Edit > Elevations

Select the required options and apply. If you are using Block mode it will say so in the top and there is no need to select point id

I never worked with LISCAD to much, the last time was 2004. Good luck, we never had point clouds back then only clouds in the sky.
