Hi Forum,

I wrote a spreadsheet to calculate distance and azimuth on ellipsoid sphere usingย T Vincenty formula. Input coordinates of two locations in lat-lang then the distance and its azimuth will be calculated accordingly.

I applied "Name Manager" to wrote The vincenty formula instead of vba-excel.

Since the formula deals with iterative calculation, please set your excel to "enable iterative calculation". If you miss this setting, excel will notify you an error 'circular reference'

as usual, i also post inย my blog in 'bahasa indonesia'

warm regards from indonesia

  • Hello zainul,

    ย

I'm interested in your spread sheet. Is it posted?

    ย

I'm also working on a spread sheet that calculates Grid Azimuth for Lambert Conical Projection and Transverse Mercator. Your input would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Paul
