OCR Convert PDF to TXT for Sharing Parts of Documents

Surveyors, sharing your best manuals and help guides in PDF form is one thing which is very important for the future of land surveying as we know it. However, there often comes a time when you are trying to support a fellow surveyor and you don't want to send the entire document to them, but rather, you just want to send a certain section of the document which directly solves their problem. This is where OCR conversion of the PDF to TEXT comes in handy.   With the following simple tool you can upload a PDF, convert it to TXT then copy and paste the relevant information into a discussion topic for example.

OCR PFF to TEXTOCRconvert.com is a free online OCR service that allows you to convert PDF to Text, JPEG to Text and scanned images into editable documents. Simply upload your file and our server side program will process your file for any editable text and will send the results back to you, which you can either download the processed text in for of word document or copy & past online.

An example of PDF to TXT.  It's simple!

Take this document in PDF form (opens on click)

Now take a look at a page of text which is generated after running the OCR converter:
This system has the following features:
O Enables optical communications between the total station GTS-8OOA/81OA/82OA, GPT-8000A
and RC-2RW on the prism side, which allows simplified one-man survey based on the
application programs.
I For communication between the RC-2RW on the prism side and the data collector FC-1000,
communication by either Bluetooth (wireless) or cable is possible.
I Has the turn-round function with which more efficient one-man survey is possible.
General Handling Precautions
Before starting work or operation, be sure to check that this system is functioning correctly with
normal performance.
I Do not submerge the instrument into water.
The instrument can not be submerged underwater.
RC-2RW is designed based on the International Standard IP65 and RC-2H is designed based on
the International Standard IP54, therefore it is protected from the normal rainfall.
I Guarding the instrument against shocks.
When transporting the instrument, provide some protection to minimize the risk of shocks. Heavy
shocks may cause the measurement to be faulty.
I Battery level check.
Confirm battery remaining level before operating.
I Storing the instrument for long period
Remove the dry cells from the instrument when you would not use it for long period.
I Turn-round motions and Optical communications
RC-2RW should be kept aiming so that the total station always stays within the above
range of laser beam emission until the turn-round motions or optical communications are
completed.

Simply clean up the generated text and you are good to go!
