ABSTRACT: This workshop will provide for a Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) Exam Review. This session will be presented considering an audience largely consisting of individuals preparing to sit for the FS Exam. The intent of the workshop will be to identify and revisit various land surveying topics that would likely be included within a typical FS Exam. Reference will be made to the most current Exam Specifications from NCEES.
SPEAKER BIO: Anthony M. Gregory is a Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering Technology, at Purdue University Northwest, Hammond Campus, in Hammond, Indiana. Professor Gregory is registered as a land surveyor in Indiana and Illinois and consults as a Professional Surveyor at Abonmarche through their Hobart, Indiana office. Tony has presented numerous seminars on various land surveying topics to professional land surveyors, surveying technicians, attorneys, title company officials, and real estate professionals. He has an A.A.S. degree in Civil Engineering Technology and a B.S. degree in Construction Technology from Purdue University Calumet (now Purdue University Northwest), and a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors (ISPLS), the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association (IPLSA), and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS). He previously served on the ISPLS Board of Directors and is a past society president. Tony currently serves on the Board of Directors, and the Trig-Star Committee for NSPS, and is the NSPS Trig-Star Coordinator for Indiana. Tony and his wife, Jen, currently serve as co-pastors at CenterPointe Church in Grove City, Ohio.
