Levelling

(1) Set up the level at a convenient point so that the Bench mark (BM) or point is known(2) Level the instrument with the foot screws.(3) Send the staff to the reference point where the staff is to be held upright.(4) Direct the eye piece of the instrument onto the staff, focus and read the staff and book your reading.(When the level instrument is correctly levelled the line of collimation coincides with the horizontal line. A horizontal plane is then established. If the height of this plane is known, the heights of ground points can be found)Campus is free from animal attacks but not from the scotching sun.
