Where are you surveying?

burial mound

In the foreground, left of the muddy area, is the burial mound. The "hills" in the background are the remains of some fortifications in front of the castle. On this side of the castle the ground wasn't as steep as on the other sides, so additional efforts where made to prevent attacks from this side. However, there is a theory that this are in fact remains of a much older, bigger castle (from the Bronze Ages) on the same site.Maybe this mystery will be solved once when another archaeological excavation is made.If you look closely, you can see the digital level and some other survey tools in the background.
