VisionLidar - Tutorial - Basic Virtual Surveying
This video explains how to use VisionLidar to pick, vectorize and modify features and points in a point cloud using virtual surveying.
Upon opening a VisionLidar project, many of the surveying tools may be unavailable.
To be able to proceed to virtual surveying and use those tools, go to Survey / Vision database and attach a database to the project. The database may be in MDB or SQLite format.
The default configuration standard for a new database is the Vision+ configuration, however the standard repository may be modified by changing the vision database model used in the settings. *Show settings* The configuration contains the list of PCodes that will be used in the project. These may be changed for personalized PCodes.
The survey tools are now available. One of the first functions a user is going to want to try out is pick points.
A window appears with an empty list and an option for the PCode and line number for the next points to be vectorized. The user may pick a point on the screen and the point will be added to the point list. The section on the right determines some of the information for the next picked point - the PCode may be set as well as the line number. Points that appear in orange have not been saved yet.
Right clicking on the point in the list gives the user a few options for the management of the points.ย
Repick
Change line
Change pcode
Edit point
When saving this list, the points will disappear from the list. They are actually available in Survey / Show points. This interface is basically the same as the one for โPick pointsโ only that it doesnโt support picking points and doesnโt display the right part of the window.
