The TDS Nomad® packs tremendous functionality into a powerful and full-featured rugged handheld computer. In addition to integrated Bluetooth, GPS and WLAN, the Nomad is available with digital camera and barcode scanner. Featuring superior processing speed and plenty of SDRAM and Flash memory it is perfect for mobile applications in tough outdoor environments. As a true outdoor rugged handheld, the Nomad meets the rigorous MIL-STD-810F military standard for drops, vibration, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures. Nomad is IP67 rated, which means that it is completely sealed against dust and water. Nomad comes with a powerful 806 MHz Marvell PXA320 XScale processor, 128 MB DDR SDRAM, and up to 2 GB of Flash storage. It has a rechargeable, hot-swappable Lithium-ion battery that can work all day without a recharge. A full VGA display and touchscreen offer sharp, high-resolution graphics even in bright sunlight, making it ideal for any graphic intense application. The numeric keypad is backlit for night use or dark environments. The Nomad also includes the latest Windows Mobile 6 software, so it runs all the applications you use most, including a wide range of third-party software for industry-specific applications. The Nomad makes it easy to collect, save and transmit data in the field because it is available with so many built in capabilities and options. An integrated GPS receiver gives you location data for navigation applications. With the built-in laser scanner you can collect 1D barcode data and the integrated 2-megapixel digital camera captures color images for inspections, maintenance, and repair applications. Plus, you can use the Nomad's CompactFlash (CF) and Secure Digital (SDIO) slots to add more devices or memory.
