Taping is used to determine horizontal and slope distances between points. It's one of the most basic practices in surveying and when performed correctly, can produce highly accurate results. This video will give you an idea of the process behind taping using the equipment we have, but there a few calculations that are not covered in this video (calculations to correct for various types of errors). To learn how to tape and perform these calculations, be sure to come out to our workdays!
