Prove You Are a Surveyor by telling us your relationship to surveying in your Surveyor Bio:
My family and I are from Scotland and are about to move to Oman. My wife will be teaching at an international school in Salalah. We arrive in August 2018, I will then be in a position that allows me to seek employment within Oman. I have a UK military background, and my main educational training is to degree level in Geology. However, for the past 5 years I have worked as a project coordinator focusing on environmental hydrology, land/river bank/bathymetric and pipeline surveying. Amongst others, my main duties are to plan and conduct all topographical and environmental surveys followed by processing field data and producing detailed maps and drawings as well as technical reports. More recently, I have been gaining experience planning, conducting, processing and mapping pipeline CCTV survey data. As I am planning to be in Oman for a number of years I am ideally seeking a full time position, but a position of any duration would be considered. The main aim being to; not lose the skills and experiences I have gained so far, add to my skills set by conducting survey work in a range of environments, learn from industry leading people and provide the highest quality of service doing something I love.
I have experience with the following
GPS, topographic, boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, control network surveys, ground movement monitoring, GIS, teaching, Aerial, Military, UAS/UAV Drone Technology
