Thoughts
These are typically used for our Public Land Survey System Section corners, not so much for property boundary corners, they are quite expensive for that!
Thank you David! Looks like a great invention: They seem to be to massive to bend and the strange shape wouldn't make it easy to move them or to pull them out.
The only "disadvantage" I could see is: Less monuments lost would mean less work for surveyors setting new ones. ;-)

Sorry for asking, but what is an harrison monument? I think I've never seen one, probably they are not used here. How do they look like if they are not covered by road pavement?
