Yes, of course, magnets! Sometimes I bury them shallowly at the base of a brass or aluminum monument that does not scream at me when I use a metal detector. It doesn't take a very big magnet either. They're inexpensive and fit in your pocket, and maybe help cure pain, I am told. I need a magnet necklace!

Washers, AA batteries, 2 9V batteries, and small magnets to put next to wood stakes used for control...
It looks like there may be some room for some washers or.......what else would a surveyor put in a box like this?
At home, I organize my nails, screws, bolts, etc. in this same type of box. I just never thought of doing the same at work. Great idea!
