Yes, you can use the numeric keyboard but not convenient to my opinion. It is sunlight readable using a Microsurvey supplied screen protector. Screen protector is the key here. Bluetooth is excellent. I don't have any problem connecting my Leica to FG via bluetooth. In fact, it is much, much faster than via serial cable. Please PM me your email add. I'll send you the bluetooth connection parameters provided by Microsurvey. To my opinion, Nautiz X7 is an excellent data collector. It has the fastest processor. It has wider screen and very sturdy. It is indeed IP67. Very important as well is the required cradle, clamp, and connector for you to connect the Nautiz X7 to your tripod/total station. Please contact Ms. Sabine Taylor at SECO and ask her about the accessories I bought from her.

Hi Richard!

Arnel I'm interested in hearing your comments on the Nautiz. I run FG and am looking at the X7 for my work in environmental areas.
But would also utilise it for surveying.
I can't get any info from Microsurvey. Does the numeric keyboard function or one has to use the screen for all commands?
How does the screen look in really bright sunlight?
Does Bluetooth and FG work OK? I have found that a bit fickle on my data recorder. It drops out easily.
Any other comments appreciated too, thanks.
