The Ultra Wide Band positioning system is well known for the indoor positioning and well developped in the industry. Like for the UAV and Laser Scanning, the UWB should be consider for surveying as well. We developped a new method for using the UWB in surveying tasks and to complement also GNSS RTK.
The accuracy is about ± 5 cm 2D and the range between the "Anchors" and "tags" are ± 150 meters.
