  • Hi Jim, that is the CST/Berger Universal Elevator Column 60-ELC20. I am using it to easily adjust my total station to the required height when I measure the elevations of the fissure. If I keep my total station at a constant height I can easily measure the differences in elevation of my prism. Before I had to adjust the tripod to get my height. It was a hassle and a pain in the butt. Now I just unlock it and crank on the lever and up/down the total station height goes. The range is four inches of travel. The optical plummet works through the elevator column. The work is much easier and efficient.
