Desks for drawing survey plans in the field office.Every student was "party chief" for a half day and had to draw a plan of the area surveyed during this time.Back in the field office, the plan was improved and corrected.Than these plans where used as aid for orientation when creating a map from the collected data. The map itself was created using a special software for topographic surveys of the university (called TASH) and ArcGIS.Personally, I don't like drawing by hand. Computers can do it much better than me. ;-)
