πŸ“ Land Surveyor Elevation Level Loop Journey

* Step 1: Gather Equipment

* Collect all necessary tools and equipment for the elevation level loop survey.
* * Total Station
* * Tripod
* * Prism Pole
* * Leveling Rod
* * GPS Receiver (optional)

* 🟒Step 2: Select Benchmark

* * Choose a reliable and well-established benchmark with known elevations.
* * Research local benchmark database or consult with relevant authorities
* * Identify the benchmark's elevation and reference it for the survey

* 🟒 Step 3: Set Up Total Station

* * Prepare the total station for the elevation level loop survey.
* * Set up the tripod on stable ground
* * Mount the total station securely on the tripod
* * Level the total station using the built-in leveling mechanism

* 🟒 Step 4: Establish Control Points

* * Establish control points around the property for accurate measurements.
* * Select at least three control points
* * Use the total station to measure and record their positions
* * Ensure these control points are visible and accessible throughout the survey

* 🟒 Step 5: Perform Elevation Level Loop

* * Set up the prism pole at the first control point
* * Measure the elevation at the first control point using the total station
* * Move to the next control point and repeat the measurement process
* * Continue until all control points are surveyed
* * Calculate the elevation differences between the control points

* 🟒 Step 6: Adjust Elevations

* * Adjust the surveyed elevations to tie them to the selected benchmark.
* * Apply the known elevation of the benchmark as a reference
* * Determine the elevation correction factor
* * Add or subtract the correction factor to each surveyed elevation

* 🟒 Step 7: Finalize and Document

* * Complete the elevation level loop survey and document the results.
* * Verify the accuracy of the survey measurements
* * Prepare a detailed survey report including the benchmark tie-in
* * Store all collected data and measurements for future reference
