TOPCON QUICK STATION

Hey Guys, I recently acquired a Topcon QS, and in using it, i have noticed there is not an EDM setting, for reflective tape, like in the Sokkia's or Leica's. 

Am I to make the assumption that i should use the "Prism" setting, and set the constant to 0

Ok, so i have a 1 second totalstation, but what are the differences, between that and a 3" or 5" gun, in terms of lets say a 100m distance, cause i have heard it said, you can only use a 3" gun not further than 200m between controls. what is the real
