Thoughts

  • A surveyor needs to be very familiar will all the local snake species to better understand what he/she is going to expect in the field. In our place, King Cobra is a real threat to surveyors but Killer Bees are more scary. There are accounts of death due to Killer Bees attacks.

  • Non venomous. This snake is also known as the 'hog-nosed' snake. Its defense mechanisms are turning over on its back and playing dead, flaring its neck to pose as venomous, and excreting a stinch of death.

  • Is this venomous?
