Bergmann Associates has an URGENT need for a Survey Party Chief in our Akron, Ohio field office.
This position will require the individual to research and compile adequate information to perform and supervise field survey operations for various projects.
Essential Duties
Proficient in all surveying operations,techniques & equipment
Proficient with various State Plane coordinate and vertical control datums
Perform field surveys, measurements, calculations, and various project related data research
Evaluate project tasks, apply standard survey techniques and procedures to complete assigned surveying tasks
Interpret legal descriptions for various parcels and perform mathematical closures
Download and edit field data for use by others
Operate various survey software and be familiar with various CAD mapping software
Review completed base mapping for accuracy Coordinate or perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Characteristics and Experience Desired:
AAS in related field from an accredited university or community college
Advanced operational understanding of the appropriate CAD and survey software
Must be willing to attend seminars or continuing education to stay current with legal aspects and technological changes
Must have a valid drivers license and be able to travel for outof town/state projects
Membership and participation in applicable professional organizations
