The Texas General Land Office (TX GLO) is as old as the Republic of Texas itself. In fact, the first thing that the Founding Fathers of Texas did when they won the Revolution against Mexico was to create the GLO. Why? Because Texas was broke! Today, 150 years later, Land Surveyors still rely on the GLO has an important source of land records.
