It was located just blocks away from Ground Zero and he thinks the relic should be added to the Sept. 11 Memorial Museum. He was merely surveying a building when he stumbled upon a chilling crime scene. Frank VanBrunt was one of two land surveyors who found the 5-foot-long piece of twisted landing gear from one of the Boeing 767s that crashed into the World Trade Center on 9/11. Only after some thought did the 59-year-old understand the magnitude of what he’d found in the 18-inch-wide space. β€œI realized later β€” this is a piece of a murder weapon lying there,” VanBrunt told the Daily News from his home in Hicksville, L.I.
