Court cases are some of the best resources that land surveyors can use to learn what NOT to do within their land surveying practice. Here, Dr. Tony Nettleman provided expert witness testimony about the failure of a Professional Land Surveyor to locate an easement that was part of the Public Record for the past 50 years. In the end, the Surveyor ended-up paying almost $75,000 in damages to the property owner. The title company paid the other half of the settlement.
