I recently spent a week at Brookfield Conservation Park in South Australia, surveying the burrows of the Southern Hairy Nosed Wombat along with a team from Conservation Volunteers of Australia. It was a thrilling week full of scenic vistas, plentiful wildlife, and unique learning experiences. But how does one survey a wombat hole? And what does a wombat look like? Not to worry.
