Please tell other members why you are here:
I worked as an independent contracted field crew to registered surveyors from 2000 until 2007. I have been out of the industry for a few years. Form 1992 to 2004 (there was some overlap with my field work) I operated Watts Instruments in Ohio, a full service dealer for Wild/Leica, Topcon, Pentax, Sokkia, Nikon, and other makes. My brother and I ran the repair shop. I had professional training in machining and repair of old school equipment at Wild, in Heerbrugg Switzerland, in 1974. We are considering a move to Chile, and I am now seeking a job there. Our primary objective is foir me to find a job in Chile. I am most qualified as a field surveyor or repair tech. I'm not registered anywhere but I have a mountain of practical experience and I seek only a job. I am a native quality German and Swiss German speaker, and I'm developing better skills in Spanish.
I have experience with the following
GPS, construction staking, topographic surveys, control network surveys, teaching, Equipment Sales, Equipment Repair
Enjoy, explore and contribute to our community....a living library of land surveying which is not controlled by 3rd party interests- it is controlled by you, the surveyor. No one else in the world aside from our community members catalogs changes in the surveying industry. No one else collects, curates and showcases the importance of land surveyors to society for future generations to learn from and to promote public awareness of this importance. It takes just a few moments per week to curate a rock solid legacy in surveying but every minute you spend sharing your experience will breathe ten years of life into the profession.
