I am an oil and gas landman. I work with surveyors for pipeline surveys on a regular basis. (I work out the pipeline route, then they survey it and provide plats, then I buy Right of Way from the landowner.) I'd like to know more about the profession of surveying so that I can interface better with surveyors in my work.
