Prove You Are a Surveyor by telling us your relationship to surveying in your Surveyor Bio:
I started surveying Nov. 1, 1997 in Texas. I began as a rodman, quickly became an instrument man and then party chief. While in the field at day, I taught myself Autocad in the evening. I worked in the field doing all types of survey work and learned as fast as I could. I eventually got a job as a draftsman for a civil engineering/surveying firm. I learned very quickly and started taking survey courses at the local college. After many years as a senior technician, passing the Fundamentals of Surveying in October 2007, I started my own fieldwork/drafting company in July 2009. I eventually made money. I finished my bachelors degree in August 2019 and am taking the next Board surveyors exam in 2020.
I have experience with the following
GPS, cadastral, topographic, boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, control network surveys, ground movement monitoring, GIS, teaching, Survey Office, Software Development, Equipment Repair, Construction, Student of Surveying, Cartography
