Hawaii Land Surveyors is for professional land surveyors and LSU members who live and survey in the state of Hawaii, USA. If you are a surveyor in Hawaii, share your experiences here.
I've been here 13 years but have been licensed for just 2 (surveying here foar about 10). Is there a forum (here or ellsewhere) where we share experience in the mechanics of surveying in Hawaii? I'd certainly use some mentorship in efficiently and thouroughly researching property history back into the Mehele days, reliable ahupuaa boundary determination, patent/grant, apana, allotment research, etc. And on the tech side, are we able to use CORS for GNSS network control. I see one on Mauna Kea, Maui and Honolulu are that 'may' be active. If not, what are secure ways of setting up and maintaing GNSS network control? Mahalo piha and me ke Akua pu.
