The Routescene UAV LidarPod is a very efficient tool to collect 3D mapping data for areas that are dangerous or difficult to get access. It allows terrain data to be quickly collected and processed and overcomes some of the issues of more conventional land surveying and remote sensing techniques. The LidarPod is a self contained pod only requiring battery power from the host vehicle. It is light and compact and ideally suited for carrying by an UAV.
