I am an RPLS in the state of Texas. Originally from New Orleans and plan on acquiring a license in Louisiana as well. I've been involved with a very diverse work environment over the years and have been involved with many different types of surveys, my favorite being hydrographic and anything that lets me get "lost" in the woods or swamp. Now with the oil and gas boom here in south Texas, I am now heavily involved with surveying in the EagleFord Shale.
