I need a good reference books about these subjects cadastral survey, geoid and geoid model, vertical deviation(station error) and GPS network.

  • I asked the "SC Geodetic Survey" that same question. The surveyor in charge said that "GPS for Land Surveyors" by Jan Van Sickle was a good place to start in regard to GPS. The Texas DOT has a good basic discussion available on line. NGS also has some very good pubs on the subject. My observation is that there are a lot of people using GPS that don't understand what they are doing. I am no authority but I am learning & continue to try to better educate myself. I am looking forward to seeing recommendations from others.
