TDS Survey Pro with Leica 1201

Hi,

My question to you gents is if the whole 34.4 mm constant built in to the instrument will get taken care of if I use prism with 0 offset and have offset set to 0 on my DC under smart prism.

Thank you.

  • thanks Deraman.

  • I guess that would depend on the type/brand of prisms you are using. Leica's 0 offset prism is actually -34.4mm to everyone else's. This gets to me every time too as we use a mixture of everything, annoying more than anything..We always set the constant inside the instrument and zero on DC otherwise the correction is going to be applied twice. We are using older type of total station/DC though, not sure if the same convention applies to newer types..I would just tape off and remeasure just to be sure..All the best
