Topcon DL103 Level Compensator sticking

I have a DL103 level that only sees sporadic use, several times a year. Lately the compensator has been sticking in an out of level spot. Wrapping on the legs will free it up, but it caused some bad readings on a job. I am wondering if anyone else ha
