Show us why the public should always call a land surveyor

Where are you surveying?

Survey Legend

Did you know that you can email your surveying photos to the network from your mobile phone?  You can! Here is a cool trick for how to do this, from the field or office.

Go to this page while logged in to Land Surveyors United and you'll see something like this:

Email surveying photos from field

Step One: Copy that email address which is generated just for you and head over to your email account. Add surveying related photo as an attachment to a new email. Send one photo or video per email. The subject of the email becomes the title of the photo or video, and the body becomes the description.

Tip:After sending an email to that address you will not need to remember it anymore as it should be saved in your contacts.

Step Two: Next time you are in the field, take a photo on the jobsite and email the photo to the network. Be sure to give them good titles and descriptions.

Step Three: The Next time you are on Land Surveyors United go back to your photos and add tags and locations to make your photos useful to other surveyors on the network..

Disclaimer:  Any photos uploaded without proper titles and descriptions are subject to deletion from network.  Please Do not abuse this feature as it can get you suspended from community.

Bonus Tip: If you'd like to attach a map or lat-long to your image, add this app to your phone called GeoMessages and send it using that app. You can also use the app to send location logs to your own email or otherwise to let them know where you are surveying. And in case you aren't aware, you can also import your surveying photos to the network from Flickr.
