Boundary Topics

what's the deepest you ever had to dig for a property corner? what was the condition of the boundary? I'm currently looking for a corner near an electric pole with all kinds of stones that ring off of my metal detector in a elevated area whose corners were set in the early 1900s. I will update this post later but im about 6inches right now. Pics coming soon

2.5 ft right next to an old dugout for "tobacco".

I've been down 4 feet before several times. The latest 4 foot
er was one that the previous surveyor, circa 1930, called as not found and reset. I found the original monument, set in the 1800's 3 feet away from the reset corner. My friend, the county surveyor from the neighboring County, finds them even deeper all of the time. Of course, he has a backhoe and a road crew at his disposal.
