When I retired last year I was handed a TCA1100 in perfect working order, not from the boss but from the hubby of a co worker who was taking it to the tip. The trouble is I haven't used one since they were the flavour of the month, the bees knees if you like, for setout work and have forgotten most of it. I think 50 years of banging in pegs has upset the brain cells. I have managed to measure a couple of prisms setup in the shed. Using the jigger without PC back up is fine for the small jobs like Uncle Bert's chookhouse but not for bigger jobs like a feature survey of my property. The big problem is saving or extracting data to/from the PCMCIA card from the windows10 computer at home.

My question to anyone who is still using one or at least remembers better than I do, how we ever transferrred data beween the card and a PC. I bought a chinese card reader and it wedges under the door beautifully but is not much good for anything else.
