I am looking at purchasing a 5dB Antenna for the external radio, but I noticed the rubber duck antenna on the rover is 0dB. Will these be compatible together or do I need to match gain at the base and rover?

Thanks!

Jeff

FORCED CENTERING TRAVERSE METHODhttps://landsurveyorsunited.com/forum/forced-centering-traverse-method2021-04-23T11:50:33.000Z2021-04-23T11:50:33.000Zkyle rosenthalhttps://landsurveyorsunited.com/surveyors/kylerosenthal

Hi, I'm using forced centering method to traverse for control establishment on a large site, I've seen it done by other surveyors and they don't set up over or measure down to a point, they just set up and put target height of 0m for there stations, shoot in there reflective targets as they go and close, but for my traverse I have put a point to set up over but aswell I've accpted 0m as my target heigtht, I didn't get to finish the traverse by the end of the day, next day I set up over the last point, and to set a heigth I measured some reflective targets from previous day (measured from over the same point) to get a height for my station and finished the traverse.

My questions

1) is it correct to not measure down to a point as you'll loose height accuracy when taping down.

2) How would I even run an adjustment on the height now that my starting station on the next day is at a different height to ending set up on previous day.

3) What is the correct method of a traverse when establishing control of a new large site?

Any help appreciated, thank you

Resection or Backsidehttps://landsurveyorsunited.com/forum/resection-or-backside2020-10-26T17:11:21.000Z2020-10-26T17:11:21.000ZRawand Khoshnawhttps://landsurveyorsunited.com/surveyors/RawandKhoshnaw

Hello guys

Kindly I need your advice on what's the different between the Resection and Backside procedure in term of accuracy and which procedure is more popular and, which procedure cause of that the rotation of the site.

Thanks

nikon dtm 831https://landsurveyorsunited.com/forum/nikon-dtm-8312020-10-03T12:43:00.000Z2020-10-03T12:43:00.000ZIan Jaegerhttps://landsurveyorsunited.com/surveyors/IanJaeger

Hi group.
