Short video describing how to calibrate the ikeGPS compass. Over time the metal parts in your ike naturally become magnetized. We try hard to limit the number of ferrous components but there are still a few floating around in the unit. This calibration will get your compass back to factory settings by compensating for those magnetic parts that become magnetized during normal operations. Make certain you have the most recent ikeOS and go out and calibrate your ike. It will take from start to finish about 2 minutes. Don't be afraid to perform the calibration frequently to insure maximum accuracy. If you have any questions or concerns email us at [email protected].
