this is a demonstration of the vehicle mount I just designed, built and fitted to my work vehicle. is is designed to be used for gathering data with a GNSS unit or robotic total station in large areas. you can securely place the pole in the mount and drive a site while it records data. the pole is held vertical when the vehicle is level, however when the driver enters the vehicle, it will go out of plumb by 5-10mm which isn't an issue considering it is not for precision work.
