I started in 1962 as a rod man for Robert E. McKee, General Contractor, working under an entry-level civil engineer in Dallas, Texas, staking out the downtown Sanger-Harris department store.
I spent some time in the mid-sixties luxuriating in southeast asia as an enlisted surveyor in the US Navy Seabees.
I've been writing software for surveying-related functions ever since it became possible to do so.
I've been licensed in California since 1977; I started W. R. Benson & Associates in Los Angeles (wrbenson.com) a year later, serving Southern California.
I'm joining to make contact with other surveyors who have to 'bend' their software to fit.
