Profile Information

I am here because I am a.
Surveyor
Surveyor Bio:
Been working with the best LAND Surveying teacher in the world since I was 8 years old. He has taught me everything I know about the business and I have great respect for this man. He is thee Hardest Working and Loyal Licensed Land Surveyor I have ever known and anybody could trust him with there lives. I am proud to call him my father. Robert Paul Hawker. We still work as a crew to this day and I am about to turn 40 next year. He still as energetic in the job and climbs in and out of pipelines in tunnels under lakes and bridges and isn’t afraid of anything. He climbs hills and gets dirty and he wouldn’t like it any other way. He loves his work and is the smartest man I know by far. He is a wiz at math and aced all his Surveying exams. He has fixed problems for many big time jobs saving the construction company’s millions upon millions doing so by designing and making things that would otherwise have to be demoed and starten over from scratch with his math and know how. We currently work on Water Treatment Facilities and Wastewater Treatment Plants and his resume is endless. I have worked professionally with him for 20 years with 12 being in the Local 12 Operating Engineers Union and have seen it all. We just finished about a year and a half ago the Desalination Plant and pipeline in Carlsbad California and him and I did the whole pipeline together just us two. It was very tedious and extremely fun . We did 12 miles of 86” pipe and set points for each and every one of them. We did the tunneling pipeline under the bridge boring pits and microtunneling and set control for everything on the pipeline part of the job. jF Shea we have done most work for but are catching up to it with W.M Lyles Construction and our company is currently subcontracting most of there jobs in Southern California. My father is 73 years young still working with me and I wish we could work together for eternity. I am a lucky man to have been taught by him and I hope I can Survey forever. It’s what I do and it’s who I am. A Proud Party Chief.
