Having problems with WISCORS?

Started by Scott D. Warner, PLS Oct 3, 2014. 0 Replies

I'm not sure what's up with WISCORS lately, but it's a good thing that it's free, because it's functioning like freeware.  I can't imagine the liability that the network would take on if it were monitized.Read more →

Randy,

I didn't quite catch the fact that you are a PLS but are not currently working as one, and instead, have taken on a "job" that pays very little compared to an Illinois Professional Land Surveyor.  I guess my confusion generated my question.

There is no work, foreclosures flooding the market, what keeps you folks busy. Development and construction are at a stand still. Frankly I'm surprised you ask.Title companies and real estate offices closing. 1 in 46 homes in foreclosure nation wide....................................Randy

Randall,

What is the average income of a Professional Land Surveyor in Illinois?  I don't understand.

I'd love to attend these and other seminars however work is so slow I can't afford the cost ! I've taken a job that pays very little. I am a PLS in northern Illinois and have practiced with my Father ,also a PLS and a Civil Enginner ,and on my own for over thirtyfive years. Are the working Surveyors holding government contracts ? I've done all phases of Surveying, mostly development and real estate plats and see a bleek future ahead. Would love to hear some feedback.
