Kanagaratnam Rameshkumar: it is depend with purpose. if it is earth work sometime using +20mm -50 mm.

This is an Accuracy matter of topo survey. could anybody define the tolerances of logitudinal section (for third party checks ) by total station, which was done by total station earlier.
