Total Station in storage
What happens to total stations after about 1 or 2 years in storage without ever been turned on during that time? I have two in perfect condition prior to storage but now both wont take distance measurements..Anyone? TIA

What is the store condition? How far is the carrying case reliable? Does the battery attached during storage?

Storage condition is good (dry), carrying case in good condition (no cracks), battery was not attached to the unit during storage.

i have a nikon dts 552 and was not used for 2 years luckily it sill measures but the lcd was not readable so i have it changed , the technician told me that i was still lucky for TS HAVE A MOTOR IN IT THAT STOCKED UP IF NOT USE FOR A LONG TIME...LESSON...USED IT OFTEN...EVEN AT HOME
